Funny Side Up is the brainchild of Abhishek Pandey – a working professional. It started off as a gateway for him to showcase his lifelong love for creating original cartoons and caricatures with fun and satire at the very heart of it.
While growing up, Abhishek trained in art and crafts but as with most people, with increasing responsibilities and career, the dream just kind of got buried. The Spark was reignited by constant encouragement and inspiration from friends and family which set him on a journey of reconnecting with his lost dream.
Taking time out from his busy schedule, Abhishek has been continuously creating various caricatures and cartoons in his Facebook / Instagram page over the years – under the brand name, Funny Side Up.
Agnishwar Mitra, also a working professional, lately has been disillusioned with corporate life. He has been an independent moviemaker – producing a few short and full-length movies.
The name Funny Side Up is very important to us because of the philosophy behind it. Given that most of us are leading stressful lives, there is this constant need to de-stress, and what better way to find that with a dose of fun. With this thought in mind, we have endeavored on this journey to bring a little fun in our daily life through the artworks that Abhishek create.
We trust that it is time to bring forth the gift Abhishek has and share it amongst everyone. We have created this website with the aim to create unique, fun, culturally relatable, truly Indian designs and have them printed on t-shirts you can proudly own.
We have pledged to donate 10% of the net proceeds to “Akshaya Patra”, an NGO working towards providing free meals to school-going children (Mid-day Meal) and also to the poor and needy.
